if I could be any Pokémon, I'd be... jigglypuff (プリン) #39
because I sing (A LOT).
Okay, readers. Let’s fix this now. I don’t die for a little while, and then come back every time I write here. That would just be wrong. And implausible. Since we’re not going to focus on where I’ve been for the past “just-a-little-under-a-month” (I’VE BEEN DOING HOMEWORK, STUDYING FOR TESTS/QUIZZES/THE LIKE AND GOING TO URINETOWN REHEARSAL, that’s where I’ve been), we’re just going to start fresh and say…
Helloooooo, my name is AJ Johnson. I’m 16.5 years old and I live in the lovely town of Wherever You’re Not, USA (not too far from Anytown, USA but reeeeally far away from Nowheresville, USA) with some really, really, really, lovely family members and a cat. And, um… I’m kinda cool and stuff (use the term loosely, please).
^^that previous speech was for those who are probably apt to forget me.
Here’s a tip: in the case of a really long absence of posts (such as the one I just had from 10/17-11/13), please visit my TWITTER for updates on my life and stuff. Even if I don’t have time to really sit down and blog, I’ll always use Twitter because it’s quick and easy for me to get to. So, go there, check ze tweets, and even follow me if you want.
So, wondering what’s been going on with me? Homework, tests, quizzes, seminary, Urinetown rehearsal and Young Women on Tuesdays. That’s what. The same-old, same-old stuff. Halloween passed by without me blogging about it, though. And believe me—that was a day that needed to be blogged because it was a really, really, really awesome day. Don’t worry—it’ll get it’s own super special post on my blog one day, I promise.
It’s good to be back blogging again.
Until next time…
LOVE,
AJ
(P.S.: If I don’t post at all during this week, CHECK MY TWITTER.)
I know I said I was going to post right back after the Homecoming Dance was over, but then I got home at 11:00 or something that night (didn’t go to the afterparty because a. I should not be out that late under any circumstance whatsoever, and b. I really did not want to party for a few hours, and then party some more—I don’t know how kids can do that), and I just crashed. If I dreamt or anything during that period of sleep-time, I wouldn’t be able to tell you. And then it became Sunday—and a doozy of a Sunday it was. I had to finish all of my homework in one day. I got it done, but still. Tough.
So, you’re probably all wondering how the dance was. It was fun, actually. Not as bad as I thought. I didn’t feel like a giraffe in the North Pole (mainly because some of my friends were there with me!), I danced my face off (but I put it right back on after the dance was over, I assure you), and most importantly, I beat one of my friends in a game of Pokèmon! That battle is now my Battle Video on my VS. Recorder. I am probably going to rank it as one of the best nights of my life. Yes, the food wasn’t very good, the music absolutely sucked AND I got FREAK-DANCED on by a bunch of boys (although the Crowning Moment Of Awesome was when I pushed one of them away and then gave the others the evil-eye because it’s not a mating ritual, it’s a dance, hehehe.) I still had a blast with my friends and I enjoyed coming out of my shell for a little while.
And now, I’m back in my shell and that’s totally fine with me. It was a once-in-a-lifetime (okay, there’s Prom too—nobody’s going to let me not go to that either) event, though. I don’t get a chance to dance, dress up, or beat friends in Pokèmon often. To be honest… now that we’re back to life, reality, and non-festivities, life actually seems a little bit, well… bland. Now I’m back to homework, tests, quizzes, seminary, Young Women and the like without a dance to look forward to. Keep in mind that I still don’t like them (even after having a lot of fun), readers. I kind of wish I had a dance to look forward to so I could go through the whole “getting ready” process, because getting ready is half the fun. And… I want to take my DS with me so that I can beat somebody else who brought theirs. Because my Ulgamoth, Tyranitar and Reshiram basically just swept my friend’s entire team at Homecoming and I kind of want to do that again. :D
Right now, I’m in my 7th Period free in the library using one of the school computers (Mac monitors with Windows interface… blegh) and listening to the noises of the room. People talking, doors opening and closing, typing, etc. My life seems vaguely movie-esque right now, although it’s not one I’d call the “feel-good movie of the year”, a “must-see”, or something “the whole family will enjoy”. It’s not something I’d rate “five-stars”, “two thumbs up” or “the number-one best selling film”. Because it’s not. It’s not any of these things. Hell, if my life were a movie—I wouldn’t even watch it myself. I’m kind of not liking it right now, actually. But I’ll be OK. Honest.
I don’t really have anything else to say so I’ll cut it short here.
Love,
AJ Johnson
(Quote of the day: “If I have more swag than you do, something’s wrong.” ~Yours Truly who is about as gangsta as a bag of spinach and about as edgy as a butter knife)
Tonight is Homecoming.
I’m vaguely excited. I’m not all, “oh my gah i can’t waiiiiii…” about it, but I’m looking forward to the Teenager Manifesto that is the Homecoming Dance for some crazy odd reason that I can’t place. Or maybe I’m not trying to place it, I just wanna have some fun while I’m dressed to the nines in a swanky room with other kids who are dressed to the nines in a swanky room.
I’m bringing my DS with Pokémon Black (ポケットモンスターブラック) with me in case anything unimportant happens. LOL. My friends (who are going to homecoming, anyway) are bringing their DS’s as well so we can all battle Pokémon together, woo WOOOOOOOOO.
They’ll probably kick my arse. Which is totally fine with me.
I must get ready now—I’ll post later.
Byeeee.
LOVE,
AJ
